Things Really Aren't What They Used To Be: Mercy, Mercy Me By Marvin Gaye

Whether I read the newspapers, listen to radio, surf the internet or watch television, it's always the same bad news if you're lucky. These days, things just get worse. That's the reason why I don't watch the morning news anymore cause it's just going to ruin your day.Even if they sugar-coat with some dumb feature on food or exercise, the awful taste of what the bad the news brings. Things really aren't what they use to be. Seeing how things have come down to this reminds me of Marvin Gaye's song "Mercy, Mercy Me".

You keep hoping that the start of the year would be good. You try hard and pray hard but alas, someone crazy maniac or careless klutz does something and affect everything and everyone. Forrest burning, smoke belching, high prices, high crime rate just keeps getting worse every year. If given a a choice, a lot of people would rather go back in time to a past where everything. Alas, it's only wishful thinking.

Well you can't go back to those good old days. The best you can do is reminisce when you have the time. You can't escape the crap and you'll have to face it everyday if you want to survive. I guess you'll have to deal with it as best as you can cause it's a fact of life. Still, it's sad that things are not what they use to be.
