They Never Cease To Amaze: Maybe I'm Amazed By Paul M

Well with Women's Month on its last day, I dedicate this post to all the great women who not only come through for us but stands by us even during the most miserable times. During those hard times, they become the rock which we men lean on as well as the source of inspiration to keep going when we can't even move. In times like that, they really show their true power that makes usTh grateful that they are there. If they weren't, we'd be lucky if we find ourselves in the gutter. The awe that we feel when they hold on for us is bests summed up in the song "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney.

A lot of times, we take for granted the women in our lives. This is because we often think that they should be seen and not heard. When things start to fall apart, they really step up to the plate. Rather than complain or walk out the door, they stand by either by finding ways to help or urging us on with a smile on their face. That smile means just how much they believe in us so we do all that we can because they are there for us.

Amazing women like these are one in a million. We should take them for granted. That's we should do all that we can for them because they are always there for us. Be it a mother, sister, a friend or a wife, they inspire us when we think of giving up. They truly are amazing women.

When Women Are Like Angels; Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel By Tavares

Anyone remember the movie "Charlie's Angels"? Man, those girls sure can kick butt and yet they can be so demure. One thing's for sure though, they really make guys turn heads. Just by their looks alone, we get paralyzed cause when we gaze upon them, we see something immaculate. When it comes to women who are that good, the song "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" by Tavares comes to mind.

What makes you compare a woman to an angel? It's when they got you at first sight and you melt like putty in their hands. Be that as it may, you don't mind because for some reason when you're with her, you literally feel that you're in heaven. They brighten up your day just be being there. if that isn't an angel, I don't know what is. If women treat their men that way, heaven's definitely missing an angel. And the guys who win them are definitely lucky indeed. It's better than winning a lottery. They're really heaven sent and sadly, only a chosen few enjoy their company. Makes you wonder what heaven is like.

When You Talk About The Girls In Your Life: Oh Diane By Fleetwood Mac

It's always in March that I talk about what I think about as well as remember the good times that I've had with them. Talking about them would require someone else to get the ball rolling. It's always hard to be first to open. But when the conversation starts, you start speaking volumes about them. Over a few brews, that's going to be one long conversation. When it comes to talking about them with others, the song "Oh Diane" by Fleetwood Mac.

I guess it's about the talking part that made me choose this song. You start by how you met her and then move on the times that you spent with her. At that point, your all smiles as you savor the sweetness of those experiences. Then comes the part when thing soured and then she's gone and that's where you need to take swig cause it's still hard to express the loss. I guess that's where the part of sand slipping from your hands comes in.

When the conversation's over, you really need to lean back and take a deep sigh. The guys who were lucky will go on and on and why wouldn't they? For them, the story still continuing. Well them's the breaks I guess. Still, because of the times we shared,, we'll always talk about because they were a special part of our lives.

Ah! Remembering Those Disco Days Again"

As Iv'e said before, I was never a disco fan but back then, disco music flooded the airwaves and even on a transistor radio, people would just get up and dance. When it comes to disco, the queen was of Donna Summer. She was Rhianna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston of her time. One thing's for sure, when she sings, everybody dances. One great that she had was the song "Heaven Knows".
I remember hearing this song during the first season on Dance Fever. A lot of times, this would a good song to dance with a person you like to be with. As I've said before, I always hid when everybody rushed to the dance floor. Still, it would great to be able to dance with someone to this song who you really like. All that glitter and people doing those complicated moves on the dance floor just to show good they are. Man, those were really crazy days.

As I've said before, those days are over. These people dance like they were possessed by evil spirits or were being hit by lightning. There's no more intimacy when people dance together. I guess I'm out of touch with today's trends. Still, it's kinda sad that kind intimacy is gone when people go out and dance. Those were really the days.

When You Feel You're Alone: We All Sleep Alone By Cher

Ever had those moments when you feel like you're alone? Even if there's a ton of people out there, you feel that your be yourself? I've known that feeling because I've experienced it quiet a lot? It's not a good feeling and a lot of times you realize that there's no one to turn to but yourself. That sense of being alone reminds me of Cher's song "We All Sleep Alone" by Cher.

When do we get this feeling? I guess its when no one wants to hear us out when we have something to say. It can times when we need help and there's no there to lend a hand. The worst is when you dire and when someone promises to help, they leave you hanging when you need it the most. It gets worse when you have faith in that person and that person fails you.

The hard lesson there is that in the end, you can rely on yourself. This happens to people when they are too dependent on others to bail them out. Your choices: either learn to fend for yourself or just curl and croak. Usually the stronger people choose the former and if it means being more cold and cutthroat, then I guess that's cold the world has become. It's a hard lesson but you want to survive you have to learn it because in the end, you're on your own.

Still Getting By: I Will Survive By Gloria Gaynor

With all the hard luck I've been having, I don't want to bow down to the pressure. Last week something happened that added another notch to my woes because it was crucial to what I was working on. It really got me upset because with all the pressure from the house, this was the last thing I needed. Still, though fate plays cruel tricks on me, I won't let this get me down cause on trying till I accomplish what I set out to do. That resolve not to bow down to despair and being for still being in the mix reminds of the song "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor.

Sure this was disco song but I have to admit it sends a positive message to keep trying even when the chips are down. When it comes to falling chips, I had my fair share of it. It always happens when I need it the most and when it does it ticks me off as if someone is playing a sick joke on me. As angry as I am when this happens, I will not give the powers-that-be the satisfaction of wallowing in despair. Even if I am reeling from the hurt, I'll get up and try again.

Life has a way of pulling the floor under our feet during crucial times. For me, every time that happens, I feel like I'm being tested if I'm going to just curl up into ball or get back up. Like I said earlier, I'll get up and I'll keep on fighting. This isn't the first time that this happen and I know it won't be the last. A lot of bad things have happened to me before I'm still here and I guess that's proof that I have survived.

Obsession: If You See Kay By April Wine

As I've said before, if men are lady killers, then women are man eaters. Like their male counterparts, when they worked their magic you, you're hooked. Once you're hooked, they take possession of you from your mind down to your heart. When you start thinking about them every hour and minute of the day, you know you're obssessed with them. That kind of obsession reminds me of the song "If You See Kay" by April Wine.

Sometimes, it happens in a flash and other times, it happens slowly but surely. Either way, you'll be dancing on the strings that they put on you. You don't care about anything anymore and the next thing you know, you're she's the only that's inside your head. Then comes the part where they drain you of all that you have and worse all that you are. When it's over, you're left somewhere at the side of the road all wasted and used up like empty soda can.

I guess that's why I try to be very careful when it comes to relationships. It's not that I'm a coward but these a lot of men and even women look out themselves in the most vicious way. A friend of mine went through that and he almost lost everything including himself and fortunately, he got himself together before losing it all. That's why I'd be very careful with such vain creatures. It's obsession I could definitely do without.

Quality Time With A Woman: Roller Derby Queen By Jim Croce

One of my earliest blog post was about a woman I met on the bus whom I had spent the most pleasurable ride of my life as we talked throughout the traffic which when it was time for me to get off. Recalling that moment and the post that I made about made me realize that I may not be the only one who had that kind of experience. I bet a lot of other guys had the good fortune to share the company of one so friendly and so beautiful. That good feeling that I got spending time with that person reminds me of Jim Croce's song "Roller Derby Queen".

I remember watching Jim Croce perform on television and he was inspired to write this because of a woman he met at bar. They had a few brews and they chatted as they drank. That's where he found that she used to be part of a roller derby which was a big thing back then. I guess made a deep impression of Jim. Cause if she didn't, he wouldn't be talking her let alone, write this hit song.

I wouldn't be surprise if apart from having a similar experience, if guys who were able to do this also felt a strong sense of pleasure in those moments. I guess it's the fact that these people didn't turn you away and that they took the time to talk to you means that you're not so bad after all. More than that, you were able to bond with someone special. Something like that doesn't happen everyday. Roller derby queen or not, that's what I call quality time with a woman and the kind at that.

Don't Want To Be A Link In This Kind Of Chain: Chain Of Fools By Aretha Franklin

Yesterday, something that I was working once again fell a part. I won't go into details about what it is was and why it happen but one's thing's for sure, it was a very important thing for me. Once again I feel that fate threw a monkey wrench in the works. Right now I feel that I'm being put back in a sick carousel and made to go on another bad ride. That feeling of being helplessly chained to a bad fate reminds me of Aretha Franklin's song "Chain Of Fools".

Fate has a way of dealing a bad hand to people and sadly many of them play out that hand to the bitter end. Every lost soul to a bad fate is like a bad link to chain and if you ask me that links on the chain gets longer and longer. Many of these poor souls are the ones who either weren't smart enough or brave enough to the shackles. As a result, though they live out lives, in the inside they're dying little by little.

That's why a lot of us just can't accept the cards dealt to us by fate and that includes me. I know I'm being stubborn but it's simply because I'm tired of repeating this kind of life and I too want to break the shackles that keeps me from getting off this sick ride. Right now I've been dealt another setback but though I'm hurting from it, I am determine to overcome it. They that you can change things if you are determined to do so. I'm doing this because I simply don't want to be link in this kind of chain and I want to break free from it.

Yeah I Admit There Are Times When I Miss Them: Oh Girl By Paul Young

It would be a lie for any guy to say that there wasn't a girl that they didn't miss. Some have made a deeper impression on others. Even when so many years have passed, they never forget about them. A lot of times, the memories are often bitter-sweet that they can only confide to someone they can trust. When it comes to missing these special girls, the song "Oh Girl" covered by Paul Young comes to mind.

Why is it so hard to forget about them? It's because they were part of our lives at point and during that time, they sure brighten it up. Sadly, when it's over, you left feeling empty inside. Even when you get over it, there are times when you can't help but remember them. That just goes to show how special they were.

I guess call it bitter-sweet because it was sweet when you remember the good times you enjoyed with them. Bitter because somewhere along the line, something happened and it was over. Sometimes I linger when I remember them because times were so good back then. Yeah, I do admit there were times I miss them because they gave me some good times to think about I wish them all the best.

It's What's Inside That Counts: Beauty's Only Skin Deep By The Temptation

A lot of us get easily taken by a person's looks. It's natural because you cannot help but be at awe when a pretty face passes by. Well that's just for first impressions to get your attention. When you discover the true substance of a person, that's when you that he or she is the real deal. Discovering the real person behind the beautiful face reminds of the song "Beauty's Only Skin Deep by The Temptations.

You know we tend to write people off by their appearance. I've learned not to do that the hard way. I have met several people who seemed plain and unimpressive at first glance. Later on, I realize that these people had talent and charisma that is not reflected their looks. There are those out there who look cool but in the end turn out be just a bunch of wind bags with no substance at all.

Since then, I tend not to judge people on looks alone. You should give them a chance to show what they have. They might surprise and make you think twice on judging on appearance alone. The looks are for attraction. In the end, it's what's inside that counts.

Women Today: Modern Woman By Billy Joel

As I've said yesterday, women have come a long way from just being mere housewives. A long time ago, women were seen but not heard. These days, they definitely have found their own voice in society. It wasn't easy but they worked hard for it. If take a look at what women used to be and what they are now, the song "Modern Woman" by Billy Joel comes to my mind.

A long time ago, women were just meant to be married off and being a nurse, secretary or a teacher was probably the most prestigious career that they can get,. These days women are now making their own choices are now even leading figures in society. More importantly, they now have a voice in society and have fought alongside men in battle. As the years go by women are now starting to gain more ground as they continue in their goal to be accepted as equals.

There are still a lot to do for them though. There societies out there that still abuse women and treat them as objects. There are even some out there who are ready hurt or even kill women because their culture allows it. I just hope that the progressive women do something about this. For me, personally I admire women like this because they were brave enough to make a change and pave the way for others to enjoy the freedom that they laid the groundwork for. They really modern women.

Celebrating Women's Month: I Am Woman By Helen Reddy

Like I said before, March is Women's Month and hence the reason why most of my blogpost will be centering around women. Well women have come a long way. Many of them are now doing jobs that were once dominated by men and many have made great contributions to society. Still, many believe that there are still a lot of hurdles that they have to overcome and are still believe that they have a long way to go. When celebrating Women's Month, the song " I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy comes to mind.

A long time ago, women were just confined to the kitchen and were looked upon as those who served their men when they came home from work. Many of them fought hard to have a more active role in society. Men who feel insecure about this shouldn't put women who are rising to the top down. It's not their fault if they just want to have a better life. Rather than put them down, guys like these should ask themselves why things go wrong and fix it at once.

I have nothing against women making great progress in society. Everyone deserves to grow and realize their dream. It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman because what matters is what you do to yourself and to others. My only concern for them is that they don't do the same mistakes we men have made. That said here's hoping that they keep up the good work.

Watching War And Actually Fighting In One: The Trooper By Iron Maiden

When I was young, I use to watch a lot of war films on television. Whether it was sword of and shield or rifle and bayonet, we were totally glued to the screen. There were times when we would play war right after watching the movie. Of course now that we are older, we realize that there is a big difference between playing war and actually fighting in one. This is why I am going to use the song "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden for this post.

It looks so simple and so heroic back then that we thought going off to war was all about prestige. Yet after watching documentaries and reading interviews from veterans, I realize that war is more gruesome and leaves both victor and vanquish scarred both physically and emotionally. Sadly, there are some battles that need to be fought. It's like surgery that can be very messy but has to be done since preventive measures were not taken that could've avoided this situation.

I still like war but I realize that the real is a heck of a lot worse and that's an understatement. I guess that's why I hold a deep respect to a lot of people who are now on the frontlines. For them to face the madness day in and day out says a lot about what they go through. Once you get hit, it's all over and that's not what happens when you play. That's why I don't criticize those who fight because no matter how we know, we don't.

These Guys Are Lucky: Aint No Woman Like The One I Got By The Four Tops

For those who struck gold last February, I guess their singing their praises this March. Who wouldn't because a good woman is very hard to come by in this age where self-centered is the way to be. I guess what they is true that when you found the one, you won't ask for anything else. That's why I'm choosing the song "Aint No Woman Like The One I Got" that was covered by The Four Tops for this post.

Though I enjoy being single, there are times when I have to agree that it would be great if you found the one and only. The one who stands by you through thick or thin. She's the one who accepts you for who you are and inspires you to change for the better. She's that person who fills your life with joy. Most important of all, she completes you.

A lot of people are still looking for that special someone. Others need not look anymore. All I can say is congratulations for finding the one. Take special care of her because you won't find another again. You guys are luck so don't take it for granted.

A Song For Remembering A Special Someone: Melissa By The Allman Brothers

Since March is Women's Month, don't be surprise if a lot of my posts will either have songs sung by women or are about women. I guess my way to pay homage to them. I know that sounds ironic coming from a happy bachelor. Still, like a lot of guys, there were some women in my life who I think from time to time. One song that makes me remember them is "Melissa" by The Allman Brothers Band.

Though none of them were named Melissa, they were all special in one way or another. Each of them were unique and despite their flaws, they sure left an impression on me. I can't help but stop what I'm doing and sit down and wonder where they are now. I had a lot of fun with them way back then and I have to admit I think about the could'ves and would'ves if I had been serious. They were that special.

Wherever they are, I wish them all the best. Though I never went beyond with any of them, they gave a lot of good memories. Though they are gone, the good times that I spent with them always cheer me up. Well, I guess that's enough reminiscing cause there's some to do. That thinking about always does that to me cause they were apart of my life.

When Girls Turn Mean: Mean Woman Blues By Roy Orbison

When women are nice, it's great to be with them. Everyday with them can sure be a blast when they're mood is good. However, when they're not in a good mood, it's a different story. Sometimes they can be just as if not meaner than us guys. When women are mean, I'd like to listen to Roy Orbison's version of "Mean Woman Blues".

This is the type of song that you listen to when you just got taste of your woman's bad side. You'd know when they're in mean mode when you feel some kind of invisible wall between you and that person. Then there's that dagger piercing look as if you have to watch your step when she's around. When you press their buttons by mistake, that's when the fireworks start. Makes you want to leave the room and go out with your buds.

Well I'm not writing this to criticize women but one thing's for sure and when they are in a bad mood, it's best to leave them alone. I guess they have their own way of reacting when things don't go their way. Well if you really like that person, just give them some space. Them's the breals when they get mean.

Here's Hoping That The Day Will Be A Good Day:Lovely Day By Bill Withers

If there's one thing that I wish for when I wake in the morning is the hope that there will be no hassles during the day. Despite that wish, you'd never know what the day is going to bring. Sometimes crap happens and everything falls apart again. Still as long as you're prepared to face whatever the day brings you, then things are going to be fine. When I hope for a good day, Bill Wither's song "Lovely Day" fits the bill.

There's nothing like a good day to make one feel good. To make that happen, you got to have faith and a lot of positive attitude because the moment you leave the house is when you'll find out what the day has to offer. As much as you want the day to be good, that will depend on how you're prepared to deal with the crap that comes up unexpectedly. Sometimes you can handle it and sometimes it overwhelms you. Still what matters is that you've made it through the day.

Well I've just woke up and am on way to start the day. I really don't know what the day will bring but that shouldn't bring me down. It maybe good or it may be bad depending on what comes my way. Sadly, there are times when we don't have a beautiful day. What is important is that we make it through the day.

Some Women Can Be As Ruthless As Men: Maneater By Hall And Oates

When comes to relationships, men are often the ones casts in a bad light. I guess it's because the womanizers out there who go from girl to girl. These days there are women who are just like men. Sometimes I think they can be just as ruthless if not more ruthless than the guys. I guess the playing field is now even. When I think of women who are as ruthless as men, the song "Maneater" by Hall And Oates comes to mind.

As time progressed, it's a fact that women are now becoming a force in society. Unfortunately, some of these women have become the playgirls are not shy about it. They can even be more vicious when it comes to the dumping game. They will take you for all that you're worth and then it's goodbye when they had their fill. Just look at the all new shows on television and even the movies. They sure stand there with the guys.

I dread to think they believe that this makes them better than men. Sadly, it proves that they are no different from us. If they want to be equals, this isn't the way to be. Just like playboys, life has a way of coming back at them. In the end, realizing that your no different makes you wonder if it's worth behaving this way.

This Is What I Don't Want To Happen: History Repeating By The Propellerheads And Shirley Bassey

Ever had that feeling of Deja Vu? You start noticing that things that happened in the past are again happening in the present. The settings are different but the pattern is still there. The bad part is that the results are the same and things start falling apart again. When that happens, it's a grim reminder that I am still trapped in this vicious cycle that I'm trying to break. One song that reminds me of this fear is The Propellerheads and Shirley Bassey's "History Repeating".

A lot of times, I notice this pattern in my life and I really am starting to hate it. It makes me feel that I haven't learned anything from the past. Because of that, I get the feeling that the same things keep happening again and again. I have to admit this makes me feel paranoid every time a new year starts. This is playing out like a soap opera with the same old formula.

That's the reason why I can relate with conspiracy theorists. You have to check the signs if the past is going to repeat itself. Sometimes when things seem all right that when the cycle starts rolling. That's what I keep my eyes peeled if the signs start to appear. I really don't want the past to repeat itself because I don't want to go through that again.

Expect No Mercy: No Quarter By Led Zeppelin

When you march off into battle, never forget these words: "No quarter will be asked and none will be given." Simply put, If you're prepared to unleash terror, be ready to absorb terror in return. If ever your opponent gets the upper hand and you find yourself getting whipped, the one thing you should never do is to give him the satisfaction. In short, don't beg for mercy. When it comes to not expecting mercy or giving mercy in a fight, Led Zeppelin's song "No Quarter" seems appropriate for this post.

When you enter into the arena, it's easy to get pumped up, since the pain hasn't been felt yet. However, expecting pain and receiving it can be two different things as you find yourself either getting overwhelmed or just shutting down from the barrage of your enemies attacks. Still, your pride and dignity's at stake. If you have the will, you keep on fighting even if the cause is now lost. If you ask, let alone beg for quarter now, not only did you lose the fight but your honor as well.

I guess that's why they say that true fighters lay it all on the line. The one that separates a true fighter from a wanna-be is that he's prepared to take it as well. The only way he'll yield is if he's either knocked out cold or his opponent will stop cause there's nothing left to beat since he's so pummeled as it is. I guess it's because I too subscribe to going in blaze of glory when all is lost. It's better than begging for quarter.

False Sense Of Confidence: You Ain't So Tough By Heart

I remember back in psychology class, our professor narrated a story of wimp who was built up someone who loved. It turned that the wimp started to grow in confidence but he took for granted that person who gave a lot for him to reach the top and worse of all, he treated her like dirt. The girl saw through him and after realizing what an ungrateful jerk he is, she dumped him. Now he's back to being the wimp that he is and regretting his arrogant behavior. That false sense of confidence that people tend to abuse reminds me of the song "You Ain't So Tough" by Heart.

Apart from not abusing the support people give you and valuing those who value you, I also learn what happens when you get a false sense of confidence. People who wind up like this reminds me of Icarus flying towards the sun. They think that they can conquer the heavens. Then the heat gets too much and they crash back to earth with a literal and emotional splat. The worst part is that no one has their back cause they already turned their backs.

People give us support because they want to help us but that doesn't mean that we automatically turn arrogant and think that we can discard them after our egos inflate. Life has a way of putting us in our place and exposing who we really are. Just because we got people behind our backs doesn't mean that we should act like jerks. Once they're gone, paybacks are going to be a pain! Only then will we really that we're not that tough.

Strength And Reason To Keep Going: Strength By The Alarm

With the way things are, we are all trying to do all that we can to get by. Some have literally poured their blood, sweat and tears into in any kind of venture that would hopefully either make their dreams come true or simply make ends meet. There are times when it becomes so overwhelming that we loose focus or worse just give up. We have to remember the reason why we started this in the first place which will help us keep going till accomplish what we had set out to do. Need to be reminded of why we are doing what we do and the inspiration to keep us going reminds me of the song "Strength" by The Alarm.

A lot of people these days make a lot of sacrifices just to make it big. Achieving a dream or a goal takes a lot of passion and sadly, a lot of sacrifices too. Sacrifices like separation from loved ones, working long hours, putting your health at risks and so on. When the going gets tough we need to remember why and for who we are doing it. Sometimes a few words of encouragement, pictures of family and even having the consequences haunt you can really light a fire under you. Small gestures like that could wonders for the weary heart to keep on going.

I just hope that the beneficiaries of this effort will appreciate the hardship that these people are going to. This isn't just for them but for their loved ones as well. So I hope they support them during their time of hardship as they go against the flow with everything they've got. It's a tough world out there and they're just trying to keep with it. Give them strength and a reason, they'll not just keep on going but will achieve what they set out to do.

Still Fighting Against The That Vicious Cycle: Texarcana By R.E.M.

Well I just got home and the only thing that I'm glad about is the fact that this crappy day is over. With that said, once again I have that vicious cycle plaguing my mind which happens when the day sucks. 12 years and I'm still dealing with messy cycle of ups and downs (more downs than up). Still, I won't give up until I break this darn cycle if it's the last thing I do. My never ending fight against this vicious cycle reminds of the song "Texarcana" by R.E.M.

As I've said in a lot of my posts, my life's been full ups and downs but these days it has been more of the downs and to add insult to injury, every time I try to make my life better, things just get worse. It's like picking up a scrap of bread when your really hungry only have someone kick it out of your hand when you're already feeling faint from hunger. I already know it's either fight or die and that's why I keep on going because if fate were a tangible person, I'd fight time him till I knock him senseless for dealing me a bad hand. Not that I'm making excuses for my mistakes but sometimes it's hard to fight the urge point fingers, let alone, vent your frustrations on someone. So I keep going because I don't play the cards fate has dealt me which is this vicious cycle.

This cycle sure has caused me a lot of pain and a lot of tears. Be that as it may, I am not giving up despite all the wasted time and all the wrong decisions. Though I hurt sometimes, I will not wallow in regret because what's done is done. I know if I do it right, there will a light at the end of this miserable tunnel. Even if I crash and burn, at least I went down fighting with my head held high and I guess that's a victory in itself.

No One To Tell: Tell It To The Moon By Martha Davis

Today, I would like to dedicate this post to people who always keep their problems bottled up inside them. These are the people who often overlooked, criticized and misunderstood. A lot of times, these people are often relegated to the background and that's can sure add insult to injury. The worst part about it is others don't they exists before its too late. That's why I'm choosing the song "Tell It To The Moon" by The Martha Davis..

Who are these people you ask? Well, they're the one who are often overshadowed when there's a gathering. They can also be the ones who often get cut out of a conversation when they are about to speak. They get that feeling that they're only seen and not heard and that can be both depressing as well as insulting to these people. Then people will wonder why these guys will eventually withdraw themselves from doing anything with the group. I wouldn't blame.

This is such as shame because these guys have so much to give if they had the chance. Most of the time, the big-mouths are the ones who get the acclaim. They are so full of it yet they're just a bunch of blow-hards. For those who don't get the chance to speak, maybe one day, they'll get their chance. It's not fair that they can only tell it to the moon.

Everybody Wants To Be A Cowboy: Cowboy By Boys Don't Cry

When I a kid, I remember watching a lot of afternoon movies to pass the time. A lot of those movies were cowboy movies. Most of them were Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, Lee Van Cleef and Clint Eastwood with Wayne and Eastwood were my favorites. Watching cowboy films made every kid want to be one. Who wouldn't want to ride a horse where rugged clothes and carry mean set of guns. That fantasy to want to be a cowboy reminds me of the song "Cowboy" by Boys Don't Cry.

Just like every kid at the time, I too had fill of cowboy fantasies and so did my brothers. If we weren't fighting with swords, we'd be shooting with guns and riding each other for horses. We liked the idea of competing on fast draws and stalking each other like gunfighters in the movies. The only thing that we lacked were horses and the proper attire. Still, it didn't stop from us playing as our imagination kept us in the game.

Well, those days are long past now. With the emergence video games, ipods, ipads, computers, etc., I don't kids play cowboy anymore, especially the way we use to. I guess life was simple back then. Those show gave us a lot of inspirations as well as heroes to look up to. I do miss those days where we all wanted to be cowboys.

That Push To Get Me Through: 25 Or 6 To 4 By Chicago

Last night, I slept late and I think it's time I better break this habit because the lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me. Getting up is starting to require some extra effort. Times like that, a hot cup of coffee and a load 24K song is need to to get me wide awake. The song that may fit the bill is Chicago's "25 Or 6 To 4".

This is one way to blast a guy out of bed. It's bad enough that today is Monday and the first one of the month where I can feel a ton of work waiting for me at the office. Still, you got to do what you got to do to meet the day. Part of that requires your adrenalin to start pumping. Some coffee and this sure got that started.

Well, I'm finally home and beat tired. Still, I have sinking feeling there's still much to do. By the time it's over, it's way past my bed time. Still, I get whatever sleep I can. Another day is coming up and the week has just begun. I guess I'll play this song again to me pumped up to meet the day.

Spread The Feeling Around: Fire By Jimi Hendrix

It's been a while since I feel inspired. Going back to that blog entry of a friend where he posted that sign about letting nothing stop if you really want it made me feel inspired. As I've mentioned in yesterday's post, that sign left a big impression on me. I've been sluggish in trying to accomplish what I've set to achieve but looking at that sign really motivated me. That's why I'm choosing the song "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix for this post.

When you feel inspired, you forget all the aches and pains in your body. All of a sudden the urge to do it surges all over you. All the old barriers and doubts are gone. No fear or questions restrain and you race through the road with renewed confidence. The success or failure doesn't matter so long as you do all that you can.

I don't how long this feeling will last. Maybe something might come around the corner knock me off my butt and destroy my momentum. If that happens, then I'll get up and go again. Just keep on going till you accomplish it. So long as fire burns and I feel it, I'll keep going.

If It Takes A Day Or Night: One Of These Nights By The Eagles

For the past few years, this thing that I've been working on has yet to bear fruit. There was a time that it did but unfortunately, something happened and everything came to a halt. Last year was no better as something happened again and I found myself in a snag. Still, I didn't give up hope because I still believe that I will achieve what I had set out to do in the end. Believing in that eventual goal reminds of the song "One Of These Nights" by The Eagles.

When someone tells you that achieving a goal is difficult, you better believe it. Things happen along way that could really knock off the foundation of what you are trying to build. It's in times like that you really have to dig deep inside you not only for a plan but also for strength to keep going. I remember visiting a blog of person I met on the internet about not learning and not letting anything stop you from achieving your dreams. I have to admit, apart from a really good post, it gave me the strength to persevere.

I have no illusions anymore that this is going to be easy because nothing in life is. Still, I'm tire of seeing my dreams go up in smoke without a fight. These that everything comes to those who keep trying. Well, I believe in that. I know I'll achieve one of these days or one of these nights.

R.I.P. Davey Jones: Daydream Believer By The Monkees

Last month, the entertainment world mourned the loss of Whitney Houston. Yesterday, I read another sad news that Monkees front man Davey Jones passed away from a heart attack. As I've read the news, I felt kinda depressed when I read the news. If memory serves me right, they had their share of hits during their time. One song that really stands out is "Daydream Believer".

Whenever I hear this song, it really cheers me up. I guess it touches the dreamer in all of us. It gives me a reason to hope that things can come true even in tough times. Right now times are really hard and when the hard gets harder, songs like this can sure get you through those times. If things didn't go so well now, there's hope that they will be. That's how good this song makes me feel.

It's sad that I don't hear songs like this anymore. The fact this song still brings smiles to people's faces is proof that it is a good song. It's sad that another talented singer has left this earth. I bet the heavens are party with Davy singing this song. R.I.P. Davy, you will be missed.
