Is That Still Possible: Uptown Girl By Billy Joel

Whether you watch movies or read books, one of the favorites themes of romance addicts is the rich girl-poor girl scenario. Girl from the upclass neighborhood falls for the kid in the street. Against all odds, they make it through and live happily ever after in the end. In reality, is it still possible? That's what I wonder when I hear Billy Joel's song "Uptown Girl".

Whether you listen to the song or watch the music video, the message is what every down-on-his-luck guys would want to come true: to land the girl. Winning a girl like that is just the start because how she's going to adjust to your level remains to be seen. I've seen many that kind of arrangements goe down in flames in the real world. Reason being that both don't want to make changes that can make the relationship work. If you're going to win someone like that, you better be prepared to go all-out because whether you are rich or poor, it depends on what your capabilities to make it work.

These days, women go for men with the big bucks. It doesn't matter if the guy is 100 years old or that he's ugly as hell because these days money talks. I got this after reading an article about women are more inclined to be with those who have the cash. Still, it'd be nice if something like that was still possible. Cause it would still prove that people would accept you for who you are and not for the cash in your wallet.
