Talk The Talk, Walk The Walk: I'll Stop The World And Melt With You By Modern English

Though Valentine's Day is over, for a lot of people love is still in the air. It's a wonderful thing to fall in love with someone but it's a different story when it it comes to winning that person's heart. A lot of times, suitors would flatter their object of affections with a lot of pledges of love and claim that they would go through any lengths to win their affections. Later on, they realize that talk the talk is one thing but walking the walk is something very different. When I hear the song "I'll Stop The World And Melt With Yo" by Modern English, I get reminded of that old saying, especially when it comes to courting someone.

Some people think that just because you've made contact, you got it made. Unfortunately, so have all the other suitors and many of them can have the potential of snatching that special someone from you. Before you start make making promises that you can't keep, try to find out what makes that person tick. Start with the simple things and also try to find what you and that person have in common to make that person more comfortable with you and build on that. It's better than trying to do something you can't do or be something that you are not.

It's easy to make a dramatic pledge to someone just to impress them but if you can't do it, you wind up getting dump. Sometimes even being practical can apply to this kind of situation. It's just a matter of knowing when to keep it simple and when to pull out all the stops. You pull out all the stops when that person is now at the palm of your hands. In the end, a matter making sure you are able to do what you say. If you can't put up, then shut up.
