That Once A Month Thing: Shaking It Loose Tonight By Reo Speedwagon

It's no secret that when the week ends, we left drained. That the reason why the weekend rolls in, we're left in a dead heap and we'd rather lapse into a blissful coma than do anything else.  Well for me, I've discovered an activity that helps me loosen up a bit.  It reminds me of the good old days when get-togethers were plentiful and you had some quality time with the buds to loosen up.  When it comes to loosening up after working so hard, the song "Shaking It Loose Tonight" by Reo Speedwagon comes to mind.

I won't give the full details of this opportunity but it does gives me some time to unwind.  Apart from that I get to meet new people after wrapping up an important meeting.  We'd tell stories and exchange ideas yet the atmosphere is so relax.  Even if I go late, it's no big deal.  I feel loose and enlightened at the same and what's better is that I shared it with some good people.

Sure I get a heavy head in the morning after which I wind up guzzling down a huge mug of java.  But at least,  it helped me forget about things that have been bothering me. It's nice to spend time with other people once in a while.  We all need a change of scenery especially, we're faced with the same dismal situation day after day.  It sure feels good to shake it loose once in a while

Outlasting The Storm: Ridin The Storm Out By Reo Speedwagon

A lot of times I remind myself that tough times don't last but tough people do.  It helps keep me going even when life keeps dealing me a bad hand.  For us, life is full of ups and downs and when the down times come, it sure shake your world up and destroy everything that you worked hard to build.  However, despite how hard things get, never bow down and keep on going.  A good song that reminds to keep on going even when the storm is bearing down on me is Reo Speedwagon's :Riding  The Storm Out".

I've had my share of bad times and there was more bad times than good.  There were times when the troubles just came one after another.  Still, I've gone through worse before and I weathered the storm and every ugly thing it threw at me.  It wasn't easy but I kept my head above water till the storm had pass and sure enough I made through.  I wasn't much of fighter but I was not willing to let defeat me.

This doesn't mean that there won't be another and sure enough life often sends me one storm after another.  I guess it's life's way of toughening me up.  Still, it's just another inconvenience that you need to deal with.  I'm not brave enough to say this but if you make it out of the storm, you come out a tougher and hopefully a smarter person.  So when that storm comes, don't be afraid and ride out as best as you can till it's over.

What Love Is And Isn't: That Aint Love By REO Speedwagon

A lot of people have their opinion about what love is. Most of the time what one thinks is love may not hold true to other people. I won't claim I'm an expert on the subject but just like everybody else, I had experienced it at one time or another. It's enough for me to know what love is and what it is not. I think REO Speedwagon's song "That Aint Love" fits this post perfectly.

It is not love for me when only one person is reaping the benefits of the relationship. It isn't love when you begin to feel left or have doubts. It is not love when your partner doesn't value your views or opinions. it is not love when your asks for so much conditions before committing. Finally it is not love when your partner does not accept you for who you are and is not willing to change while you've changed so much that you start losing who you really are.

I do know love goes both ways and people both benefit from it. I also know that you accept each other before there's any attempt for change. Most of all, you feel that could face anything because you support each other. These days people are too selfish that's why all this fairy tail crap comes crashing down. You really have to know what love is and what it is not for it to really last long.
