Times When You Don't Want It To End: Aint Even Done With The Night By John Mellencamp

One thing I remember about those good old times that we had back in the days is that we always had a great time. Every time we had a gimmick going down, you can bet everybody was laughing and the juice was overflowing. It didn't take long for the party to start rocking and the only time when it was over was when everybody was passed out. Even when you wake up with a heavy head it was worth it and the only thing that you regret is that the night came to an end. Not wanting to have a good time end reminds me of John Mellencamp's song "Aint Even Done With The Night".

I know this is more of a date song but then again when things are cool, you'd wish that it would stay that way. As I've said before, being with all the people you like and having a good time can sure chase the blues away. So what if the gimmick's far or that there's not enough money in your pocket. What is important is that you're having a good time. Once you're stewed you would care cause feeling good is good enough.

The only thing that would bring the night to a close is when you more than reach your limit. By that time, you'd either be out like a rock or probably heaving in some corner. When that happens, it gives the other guys another reason to laugh their heads out. Man those were the times. I still they didn't end.

Overlook Song/When I Think About All Those Girls: China Girl By John Cougar Mellencamp

A lot of my entries in this blog have used songs from John Mellencamp. He started out as John Cougar, then John Cougar Mellencamp and finally John Mellencamp. Despite the name change, it did not change the quality of his songs which were always good to listen both then and now. Still, there were a lot of songs that should have been played on air that never got the chance. That's always been the pratfall of a lot of stations both in the past and the present. One such song that should have been played on the air from him is "China Girl".

This is one of my favorite songs from the album "American Fool". I have to admit, it makes me think about all those girls from past to present. For me, they were all immaculate and left a deep impression on me. When me and friends met last Friday, it was one of the topics that came into play. I guess we all had our dream girls back then. When this song plays, I can see them again in my mind. Just like them,

I was wondering what happened to them and how they are doing today. I hope that they are all doing well. They were cool girls and will always will be in my book. I hope to get to meet them someday. I'll say it again, they're all immaculate just like that China girl.

We All Need A Hand: Hand To Hold On To By John Mellencamp

As much as possible, we all try to do things on our own. In my case, the reason for this is because you rely less on others and you get to learn new things on how to deal with the situation. Still, there are times when we can't do it all and there are certain instances where we do hit a wall regarding some obstacles that come our way. Times like that is when a helping hand comes in handy. Situations like that remind of me of the song "Hand To Hold On To". by John Mellencamp.

There's no shame in admitting that you can't figure it out. You've done all that you can and nobody can accuse you for lack of effort. Sometimes we should just put aside our pride and accept help from those who offer it willingly. People who are willing to help others are a rare breed indeed. I dare say that such individuals are heaven sent especially if they are there when you need them the most.

No matter who they are, we should always be grateful that they are there to help. We should never forget that they lent us a hand when no one else would. So when they need help, we should reciprocate in the same manner. We do not because it's obligated but because we want to return the favor. Everybody needs a hand every now and then.
