Something Brings Me Down Everyday: Everyday I Have The Blues By Joe Williams

My looking out for bad signs has got me really paranoid lately. Cal me crazy but I just can't get through the day without thinking that something's going to happen and will just bring me down.  Even when I'm  starting to feel good, something happens and takes away the smile from my face.  Whether I expect trouble or not, that feeling dread always puts me down everyday.  That feeling is the reason why I am adding the song "Everyday I Have The Blues" by Joe Williams.

There's no hiding from it.  The only solace that I can get is either before the day breaks or when the night starts.  Everything in between gives me that paranoid feeling of fair game.  Just when I'm about to enjoy life a little is when the bad news pops up as if to deny me any joy.  When it happens, I feel like someone just shot me in me in chest and my legs give out.  In the end, all I can do is give a rueful sigh.

That's the reason why the early mornings and the late evenings are now my favorite times.  At that point everything has been said and done.  My friend who I bumped into while I was at the market told me I'm taking it too hard.  Maybe she's right but some thing's can really bear down on you especially if it concerns that which matters to you the most.  I just hope things improve and something good would happen for once.  These every day blues are really bringing me down.

A Lot Of Troubles: Troubles, Troubles, Troubles By B.B. King

If it's not one thing, it's another these.  You resolve one problem only to have another that's worse pop up from nowhere.  Pretty soon, they start piling up like junk mail clogging your mail box.  When it gets too much to handle, sometimes you really feel helpless and that's when you feel like all you can do is rant about it.  When you want to express how your problems make you blue, B.B. King's song "Troubles, Troubles, Troubles" fits the bill.

These days, something always happens that really sinks your spirits.  You hiaven't even recovered from the last fracas when something else pops up and hits you hard.  You don't see it coming because there's a calm before the storm.  When it hits you, it can really rock your whole world.  Once it leaves the scene, you can only lament at what it had destroyed cause you a lot and you're still dazed at what happened.

You know it hurts when you feel helpless at all the problems piling up on you or when something happens and it all falls apart.  Sometimes you need a little space to sort things out.  Once you do, then it's time to start  over.  When it hits you really can feel helpless but that will only be permanent if you let it be.  Just keep on trying and the world will turn.

Better Luck Next Time: Bye Bye Love By The Everly Brothers

Well February is now about to end.  Tomorrow is the last day and the month of romance will be officially over.  For those who got lucky, they are probably on cloud 9 or flying high with happiness.  Others are probably singing a different tune if they can sing a tune after getting dumped. One tune that's probably playing in their heads is the Everly Brothers' song "Bye, Bye Love".

We'd all be lying if we'd say we didn't get hurt when we get dumped.  It's a terrible feeling that leaves us empty and upset.  The worst part about it is when you're walking around oblivious while reality keeps dumping demands on you.  It's like a fighter who got rocked so hard, he's barely able to stand or can fall at any moment.  Sadly, some has to win and someone has to lose.

Well, that's a sad fact about love.  Still, like I said before love will come if you look hard enough. Don't lose hope and look harder.  The right person will come around so take comfort in that thought.  There's always a next time so keep your chin up and smile.

You're Wasting Your Arrows: Stupid Cupid By Neil Sadaka

I was wasn't able to return the miscall of my obnoxious batchmate last week and I'm not sure I want to.  The memory of him forcing me to go out with another his so-called "friends" is not on my priorities right now.  If he likes living the way that he is now well then my friend I am happy for you.  Just don't play Cupid on me.  This is the reason why I chose Neil Sedaka's song "Stupid Cupid" for this post.

As I've said before, though there are some women out there who catch my fancy, I'm not interested in getting  into a relationship, let alone getting hitched.  Believe or not I'm content with my life despite the many headaches that it throws at me from time to time.  Apart that, there are so many things that I need to sort out.  Some people think that I'm overdoing it, but until I resolve this things, I don't I'll be a suitable mate for any gal.  I know the whites are starting to appear on head and face but if that's not what I want then I won't bite. Whether I regret it in the end is up to me for it's my life and I'll live the way I want to.

People tell me that I'm going to be lonely later.  What's going to be more lonely is when I'm in a situation that I don't want to be in.  It wouldn't be fair to me and to that girl if I went into relationship that if it's not what I want.   That's why I will tell my friend if he bugs me again that you're wasting your time.  Save your arrows for someone else.

Beating The Christmas Rush: Run Run Rudolph By Chuck Berry

Well it's the 24th and everybody's making a mad dash to get ready for the big day.  Everybody's making sure that no stone is left unturned.  Presents are accounted for and the food is now cooking and brew is now chilling.  Like every year, we do our best so that we can celebrate Christmas to the max.  Still, that hectic and stressful rush to prepare for Christmas celebration reminds me of the song "Run, Run Rudolph" by Chuck Berry.

What was suppose to be some vacation time to chill for me turned out to be a mad dash to get everything ready for the holidays.  I guess it can't be helped and I too want to make sure that things are in order.  I guess I too want to make sure that we have everything ready for the big day.  This only happens once a year and it's the time where family gathers and thank their blessings.  Still, this mad dash really left me pooped.

Well, we're getting ready as best as we can and there are still a lot of things to do.  I just hope that we are all together. I don't mind eating chips and drinking bottled water so long as I get to be with all the people I love.  That's why we do this every year.  So we run as fast as we can so that we can give the best that we can on Christmas Day.  Happy Holidays to all!!!!

Times When They Can Be So Cruel: Mean Woman Blues By Roy Orbison

almost forgot that March is Women's Month. Keeping that in mind, don't be surprised if a lot of my entries would be about women or songs about women. As much as we should respect and take care of women, there are times when they drive us up the wall. This is especially true, when they get into that mood where we guys duck for cover. The song "Mean Woman Blues" by Roy Orbison comes to mind during these predicaments.

Whether it's your mother, sister, daughter, girlfriend or wife, when they get into that mood, your life becomes a real pain. Sometimes they're ice-cold or fly into a real temper tantrum. It can happen out of nowhere and when it does, there's no place to run. The worst part is when you do all that you can to appease and they mock you even more for your efforts. No that's really mean.

Why do we put up with all this torment we ask? Simply because beyond all that bad mood, we still love them. It's just a matter of weathering the storm I guess. If there's one thing I've learned is that you have to accept them whether they're at their best or even at their worse. No matter how mean they get, we just can't live without them.
